As the world's largest manufacturer of quality canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddles, we remain a privately held company in Northwestern Wisconsin, staffed by paddling enthusiasts. This translates into countless hours spent designing, prototyping, testing, and perfecting each of our paddles. And when that's done, we go back and look at ways to build them even better. Beavertail: With its long, slender blade shape, the Beavertail recreational canoe paddle is a terrific choice for lake paddling in deep water. This narrower – and longer – bladed paddle pulls smoothly through the water, and the length helps with sweep strokes.
This straight shaft paddle is handcrafted in Osceola, Wisconsin using basswood and red alder. It has a symmetrical freestyle palm grip to give you the versatility you want and the quality and comfort you deserve.
Arrow: The Arrow recreational canoe paddle is at home on rivers or lakes, and it delivers great performance for a reasonable price. The Arrow is hand-crafted of a blend of beautiful hardwoods – basswood, red alder, and maple - in Osceola, Wisconsin. Its seven-laminate blade provides strength and durability, and the blade tip is edged with Bending Branches’ Rockgard® protection.
BB Special: The BB Special has a bent shaft for a more efficient paddle stroke on flat water, letting you go further with less muscle fatigue. This paddle has a seven-laminate blade that is handcrafted of basswood, maple and red alder, and is made entirely in Osceola, Wisconsin. For added durability, the BB Special blade also has Bending Branches’ Rockgard® edge protection.

Loon: With its clean and simple lines, the Loon canoe paddle is a great lightweight recreational wood canoe paddle. It has a comfortable palm grip and a five-laminate blade handcrafted of basswood and maple in Osceola, Wisconsin. For additional protection and durability, the Loon’s blade tip is edged with Bending Branches’ proprietary Rockgard® protection. This paddle’s shaft is made of solid, ovalized basswood so it’s durable but not excessive in weight. The Loon has a classic palm grip so it’s comfortable and easy to hold.
Impression Solo: The Bending Branches Impression Solo wood canoe paddle will not disappoint traditionalists with its eye-catching basswood and red alder construction. This is the perfect paddle for the solo canoeist who wants maximum stroking efficiency, whether in ideal conditions or against a headwind.
The Impression Solo has a solid, ovalized shaft with a snug-fitting snap button ferrule that provides both 0 and 60 degree options, L and R. Its sturdy blades have the extra protection of Bending Branches’ Rockgard® edging.
Navigator: The Bending Branches Navigator wood kayak paddle dares to combine high-tech materials with the natural beauty of red alder and roasted basswood. The Navigator’s shaft is made of aviation-grade T-700 carbon, and its blades are hand-crafted of beautiful hardwoods. For added durability, the blades are wrapped in fiberglass and protected with a Rockgard edge around the blade.
As amazing to look at as it is to use, the Navigator weighs just 28 oz. You might just agree that this is a lasting marriage of old-school wood with state-of-the-art paddle technology.
The Navigator comes with either a snug-fitting traditional 3 hole snap-button ferrule (adjustable for feathering angles 0° and 60°, L or R) or a more versatile telescoping ferrule with infinite feathering angles. If you have multiple boats, the telescoping ferrule makes changing paddle length a breeze.
