Join White Rose Canoe’s Team Canoe for a fun hour on the Ipswich River practicing basic flat water canoeing skills. These sessions will be a great intro for folks just getting started and a useful review of the basics for folks who may not have been in a canoe for a while.
Goal: Raise funds to support the Ipswich River Watershed Association’s efforts to protect nature and make sure there is enough clean water for people, fish and wildlife, today and for our children and theirs. All while learning something new and having some fun on the water.
Team Canoe will be collecting voluntary, tax deductible donations from participants in the event. While not required, donations are greatly appreciated and critical to protecting the river (suggested donation: $25). If you can’t make the event, you can still donate here
Advanced Sign Up Required: The sessions are limited to 4 participants to enable personal attention, focus on what each person wants to learn and keep it low key.
When: Four Sundays: May 8, May 29, June 5 and June 12
We want to be on the water promptly at 10am - please arrive early enough (around 9:30am) to fill in waiver, get gear and get in the water.
Where: Riverside launch at Ipswich River Watershed Association Riverbend Headquarters ,
143 County Road, Ipswich, MA 01938. Take the left fork at the entrance to get to the launch.
Equipment:
If you have your own canoe and gear, bring it - best to practice with what you’ll be using.
